There are literally thousands of parts on a vehicle which, over time, will fail. The older the vehicle the more susceptible to major repairs it is.
In the event of a mechanical breakdown, a vehicle service contract can help reduce your costs to repair or replace components that are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Our program also provides additional valuable benefits such as towing, rental car and emergency roadside assistance for covered breakdowns. The coverage continues until the expiration date of the contract or when the expiration odometer mileage is reached, whichever occurs first.
We will reimburse up to $100 toward your deductible for repairs covered by your factory warranty.
As the name suggests, powertrain warranties cover only the vehicle's powertrain, usually a vehicle's most significant and expensive component. Meanwhile, the bumper-to-bumper warranty covers everything — the powertrain, the electronics, the suspension, the vehicle systems, sensors, display screen, Infotainment, ABS and more. CNA knows that you have some powertrain left so they will adjust the vehicle service contract cost accordingly.
The advanced technology in today's vehicles has increased the complexity of even basic repairs. As a result, repair and labor costs are likely to continue increasing. The cost of just one significant repair could exceed the cost of purchasing a contract today.
You may be able to transfer any remaining coverage to the next owner. The added value of a service contract may make it easier to sell your vehicle and could help you get a higher resale price.
If you still own your vehicle before your coverage expires, you may be able to purchase a new contract, subject to eligibility.
If possible, return to the dealership to determine the problem and cause of the breakdown – and, if needed, make sure to take advantage of your plan's towing benefit. Have the repair facility call before beginning any repairs. You pay for only your deductible and any costs not covered by your contract.
** If you opt for the "Disappearing Deductible" on you vehicle service contract you do not pay your deductible if the vehicle is serviced at a Romeo dealership.
Breakdowns Aren't as Stressful –CNA's Automotive Preferred Care + is accepted at thousands of licensed repair facilities throughout the U.S. and Canada. If you have a breakdown far from home, your towing benefit can help you get to a nearby repair facility. You will also be reimbursed for lodging, meals and rental car while your vehicle is in the shop for covered repairs.
Using a vehicle for hire to the public or to transport people for hire does not void your coverage, provided that the vehicle is titled in a personal name and is operated by one individual or multiple related individuals.
Roadside Assistance
Simply call our toll-free number 24 hours a day, seven days a week for our sig-and-drive service or towing. Or, you can call your own provider and we will reimburse you up to a certain dollar limits.
Rental Car Reimbursement
We will pay for a rental vehicle when a covered breakdown occurs.
Travel and Lodging Reimbursement
We will reimburse your meals and lodging up to a certain amount if you are stranded more than 100 miles from home due to a covered breakdown.
Manufacturer's Warranty Deductible Reimbursement
We reimburse up to $100 toward your deductible for repairs covered by your factory warranty.
